Role of Architecture in Individual and Social Disparity

Research area 12 of 12 · Project E

The human race has been categorised and sub-categorised into multiple sections across time. All the divisions and sub-divisions grow into tightly knit communities sharing and growing as a whole. This resulted in social, cultural and political differences among the communities. Differentiation on the basis of gender, age and sexuality are reflected in architectural design in major aspects of spatial contexts. This led to various levels of hierarchies which in turn reflected in the spatial designs of important buildings of the reign. Remnants of these disparities continue to reflect in our architectural and interior spaces.
