Architectural Spaces are made up of smaller units put together in various combinations to create different experiences. An architectural experience would comprise a lot of factors involving human perceptions. In this study, we break down 'space' into its relevant components to make comprehension easier.
Focus
- Analysis of the characteristics of spatial contents.
- The implication of spatial contents on human sensational, perceptual and cognitive processes; behavioural and emotional patterns.
Aims
- To study the individual elements in a space and the cognitive processes required to perceive these units in seclusion.
- To understand the influence of the juxtapositioning isolated from the elements themselves.
- To develop strategies that help formulate designs keeping in focus the interdependence of space and mind.
